Arguably the biggest disadvantage of a standing desk is the cost. Regular desks are only around $100-$200, while standing desks can cost twice as much. Despite all the benefits a standing desk offers, if it's a lot out of your budget, it might not be a very reasonable option.

Because these tables are often full of moving mechanical parts, they are at risk of damage. Even the best standing desks can face this problem.
